Help!

I have twin Mercruiser 5.7L's. I got some bad gas 2 weeks ago and both engines kept stalling. I finally put some water absorber in and that fixed the stalling problem. But now it seems I have some other problem. My port side engine accellerates when it is nuetral just fine, but when I put it in gear it will only accelerate to 2000 rpms and there is some slight vibration. When I take it out of gear and rev it, it will rev to over 5000rpms with no vibes just fine. Any ideas ????

clean the carbs, maybe change the fuel filters or toss the props in the creek and rpms will be fine. I would not continue running it until the fuel system was properly cleaned not snake oiled.<br /> good luck and keep posting

I have to agree with rodbolt. Sounds like your carb is trashed up.
