I recently changed motors on my 1989 trohpy.<br />It had a 1989 125hp force and I installed a 150hp<br />force. This new motor is cavitating. The prop is not totaly in the water when it plains. I dont have my old motor anymore to compare but I thought it would be the same. Can I just replace the lower unit. Do they come in differant sizes?<br />you can email me if you need more info.<br />Thanks, Help

Hi, Antonio.<br /><br />Try the Outboard Engine Troubles Forum.<br /><br />Sounds like you traded a xtra long shaft engine for a long shaft. Bad news. The guys over there can help.
