Last time I had my 86 bayliner Capri out it got extremely hot so I shut it down aND got towed back to cove. Let it cool and then overheated again while headed back to dock. Got pulled back to dock. Have looked at impeller and it appears to not be the cause. Today I went to fill with coolant as it looked dry and as fast as I could fill it the coolant ran out of what appears to be a copper fitting on starboard site bottom of motor to the left of the oil filter Looks like a hose would attach there but no hose around . I tried to attach a picture but kept getting error. Can any one help me get her back on the water not overheating ??

Without a picture or atleast your engine model, hopefully someone with direct experience sees your thread. With a picture or your engine model, many more of us could probably give you a hand.

Give the picture attachment another try, or upload it to a picture database like photobucket.
