Link Removed by OP... The link was to a CL add for a Montuak at 4,000.00 The boat sold 6/8/12 at about 8:00 pm.. It was an estate sale... There will probably never be another one going for that price.. I posted it just in case someone wanted to jump on it. I almost did but I don't have any room for it and they are such great boats that I knew if I bought it I would never be able to part with it.

4,000.00 is about 1/4 of that normal asking price. I won't go as far as to say it's worth 16 but 16-20 is what they're going for around Northern Ca.

Not so but apparently many people think it's a typo. I sent them an email using the link and they called me. It's an estate sale boat and they are trying to liquidate all the assets without involving a broker or incur more attorney fees. I may go take a look at it tomorrow. I'm hoping it sells before then. It's just way to flippin tempting.

Yep, they just sold it. They called me to let me know. FYI it was a 22' Montauk that sold for 4000.00...

Wow....soembody just walked into a damn dream! Beers all around for sure for that guy!

Every now and then the real deals come up on CL, but they pop up and disappear real fast. I still wish I had snagged a boat that went like that. "The ones that get away" . It's a win for somebody so I get satisfacation out of knowing someone just came up. On the flip side, somebody just ate crow on that thing.

I dunno on the boat side, but on the auto side anytime there is a great deal on Craigslist the dealers snap it up before the working stiff's like us can get to it!

Yeah, I'm thinking a dealer got it too. All I know is whoever got it saved me from having to rent more storage space. I know I could have flipped it but the question I kept running through my head was "would I really sell it" the answer kept comming back Heck NO....
