<br /><br /><br />here's what I do for a living, a bit artsy fartsy. using all natural stone ,marble and granite. The golf scene has over a (EDIT)thousand diff pieces, and is located in a high end Country Club. The Duck scene is in a residential house. Not one piece of natural stone is larger then 1/2x1/2 inch. No paint, just diff colored stones. The Golf scene is about 8'x20'

wow, I studied a lot of ancient art in school, and those are about as nice as any in pompeii or herculaneum. what got you started on that.<br /><br />nice!

I'm a tile contractor and believe it or not I had to come up with something the Mexicans couldn't do. I've been studying ancient mosaics myself for the last 4 years. There's no Mosaic that I can't duplicate. I'm just starting to learn how to size pics for the computer believe it or not. Recently I've had Spinner do my editing for me so I'm trying not to bug him I used a blowup of Tiger Woods for the golfer, just made him white is all.

Golf scene took two months, duck scene 1/4 the size took 2 weeks. I have a partner who does most of the drawings and we scan and print out of a 4 ft printer. Took me a week to find the right green marble for the green. It is alot like color by numbers but on a larger scale

OMG, those are beautiful. Very impressive indeed.<br /><br />I've always wanted to get into mosaics. I have a sister that has a stained glass art gallery and she's offered me leftover pieces to start creating. She uses a computer program that can take her photographs and interupt them into patterns. It's awesome.<br /><br />I am a pretty good artist but limited to arcylics and oils. I would love to get started but its a bit overwhelming if you've never even been good at puzzles.

I need a ruler to draw a straight line, not a creative bone in my body. I cannot even comprehend how someone could do somthing like that. I kill things also, fish, big game, lawns...
