I just picked this up a few days ago. It was going to go to dump, but the guy hauled it home to put it on CL and make a few bucks..lucky me.
Dont have a lick of history on it, or know condition of outboard. The lower end is missing, but the nuts and washers that held it were in the transom well. After I removed the cushions and swept it out, got the ole' pressure washer out and gave it a good blasting.......then started working on the graffitti , and I am amazed that the black spray paint didnt "ghost" onto the surface too badly. I used polishing compound on it to remove it, by hand.. whew.. I was very pleased that it didnt "ghost" the surface too bad. I may polish it one more time and then give it a good waxing...(after I recover)heheh
It came with two anchors, tons of rope, two 1976 parachute flares, a working stereo with 4 working speakers that sound good, ski flag, even had the battery in it, which I charged and it came up to 12.6v (but havent tested it yet).
Hull is in great shape too.
I know nothing about this type of hull, except it looks very sturdy. I am wondering what kind of draft its going to have, but I will find out soon.
I cant find a lick of info on American Multi-Craft Boats though.. I know it was made in the Rogue Building area in Monterey Ca. buts thats it..
I wish I could have got the tech info, like weight and draft of the thing, but I will find out when I take it to water.. It does have the USCG Plate on it, so I know how many I can have on it and max motor size.
Im not sure about this mounting bracket though, its either a ski pole or a sail mast holder?
Oh, would you belive I paid $240 for it? Yes I was first to respond to CL ad..

Looks like a really early deck boat. That trailer is worth what you paid.
