Yes, you can. I work for AT&T Wireless. The SIM card powers the phone as far as the account is concerned,

Thanks ftl900, So all AT&T sim cards are the same ??.
Why I'm asking is : I want a phone with the built in camera. :)
I don't don't want to lose my cell number by getting a new phone.

The sim cards are all the same. The only difference is going from a regular phone to an iphone or a blackberry... smartphones require a data plan. Other than that, AT&T won't care at all if you swap it to another phone.

Before you swap it, copy your address book to your SIM card. That way you'll take all your numbers with you.

To copy the numbers to the SIM card, go to your address book. As you scroll over each name, there should be an options key. Hit that and you should be able to select "select all" or "select". Once you select the number, you should have the option to send it to your card.
Clear as mud? I know right?;)
