I have a bayliner 2452 1996 with a 5.7 mer Bravo 3 leg. Tried to get up on plane last night. Made crazy noise. Went back to slip to make sure leg was all the way down. Seemed to be. Motor runs fine. Would not go to upper third of speed with out that noise and not make plane, any ideas. Thank you very much.

pull it out, check the drive oil level .pull the drive check the bellows for any water or oil.Check the U joints for excessive play and gimbal bearing for roughness
