I Have A Recurring Problem And I Hope You Can Help Me. I Have A 1999 Force 12o. The Engine Runs Fine Except For The Fact When I Run W.o.t. The Buzzer Goes Off. The Pee Hole Is Pissing Great And The Water Coming Out Is "not" To Hot To Hold My Finger To. I Have Had The Impeller Replaced And Everything Works Well. After I Bring The Boat To Idle And Put It In Neutral For A Few Seconds The Buzzer Stops. If I Run Up To 3800 Rpm There Is No Problems. I Can Run All Day. A Few Months Ago I Noticed The Sending Unit Was Not All The Way Seated. I Put It All The Way In With The C Clip In Its Grove And I Was Able To Run W.o.t. No Problem. Until Now ,could The Sending Unit Be Bad Or Is This A Sign Of Something Major Wrong. Thanks For Any Advice.

Replace the thermostat and see how it runs.

If not the thermo your motor might be running abit lean. And/or timing too far advanced. Could also be there is a slight deformation where the water pickups are. Causing, though extremely doubtful...., insufficient and/or inproper flow of water at high speeds......

I Spoke With Don At Sierra Parts Warehouse When Ordering The Thermostat. He Confirmed That At Low Rpm's The Engine Has A Bypass. At Higher Rpm's When The Motor Gets Hotter It Flows Through The Therm. Thanks For The Dvice. Hope Thats It.
