Newbie here to the forum and just wanted to say howdy.
A little about myself, I retired about a year and a half ago, worked for the Dept of the Navy in Portsmouth VA. Decided to move to the Roanoke area near Smith Mountain Lake. Never owned a boat before but after renting a few on the lake I was hooked. Wife says since we live 1 mile from the public boat ramp, it doesn't make sense not to have a boat, So I just picked up an 08 Bayliner 175. :D:D:D Have had it out a few times and have had a ball. Anyway, I am sure I will have some questions as time goes on.

Have a great day,
Lou

Re: Hi Y'all

 Well i'm glad i'm not the only one new to this system. I am retired as of January 11th this yr. Have been looking for a good Cuddy cabin fishing boat, but it seems everyon thinks that their boats are made of gold if u know what I mean.I am shocked at the prices they are asking. R-theese folks from another planet. You would think they would be practically giving the boats away in light of the economy and high price of fuel? I don't get it?
