Hey All,

Quick question. My wife and girlfriends had my Four Winns Horzon QX up at a near by summer resort lake about 5200 ft. above sea level. She ended up cutting off during mid plane and the girls couldn't get er fired up again. Were we live the elevation iis about 2700 ft above sea level. I do know elevation effects the pressure of fuel flowing/not flowing to the combustion chamber. Is this something I should have adjusted on my carb prior to bringing it to a higher evaluation locale? She fired right up after a bit of throttle choking back in town today, so just wondering if I need to maybe open up the carb a bit for higher elevations.

Thanks for the responses!

Elevation has nothing to do with your problem. It's something else.

People that have their boats at higher elevations all the time will some times rejet their carbs to keep from being so rich. The problem is that their is less oxygen in the air so the boat will run richer at higher elevation.

If your boat was already running too rich at 2700ft, it will be running even richer at 5200 feet.
