High oil consumpton Yamaha 250 HPID

My 2004 Yamaha Z250TXR has an oil to gas rato of 23 to 1. Exhust smoke is present. The oil pump and control electronics and plugs have been replaced twice. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be wrong? My warranty is running out.

Welcome!!<br /><br />I thought I read / heard somewhere that was normal on those motors. I have a friend who does service work for a Yamaha dealer and his 250 was like that. <br /><br />Rodbolt and Ray N. are the ones who could answer that question. Perhaps posting this in the Yamaha section would get their attention quicker. You migh ask the moderators to move this over there for you.

Take it to a different dealer...it still sounds like the ECM.
