High oil pressure at WTO.

Hope someone can help. I have a 1994 OMC 5.0 EFI with cobra/sx outdrive. Have taken her out four times this season with no problems. Then I went to go out and it sounded sluggish and I was getting exhaust fumes in the cabin. At WTO the oil pressure goes up all the way to 80. The engine did not seem to over heat but might be because I did not have her out long. The outdrive has hub exhaust and I checked to see if there was bubbles come out of it but there was none. What are the signs of mud clogging up the hub exhaust, or could it be something else?

Getting exhaust fumes in the cabin I would wonder if you have an exhaust leak in the engine room. If the was an exhaust leak there should also be water getting in the bilge. Now if it was over heating you should be smelling rubber burning and not exhaust

The pressure going to 80 could just mean the sender or gauge has an issue. If oil and filter have not been changed in a while I would start there. If oil is good install a mechanical gauge to determine if this is correct.

Mud should get flushed out during the motor running, but would wonder how mud would get in
