High oil pressure

Could someone more knowlegable than I please tell me some causes for high oil pressure far as it will go to the right at WOT then comes down a little at 3000 rpm,temp is fine below half all the time.It's a 88 volvo penta 4.3 model 430 sp.Thanks

Make sure you did not put too much oil in.The pressure should climb as your rpm climb. Charlie

Is this an electrical or mechanical oil pressure gauge? Could be a bum sending unit or gauge.

It is a electrical gauge ,is there any harm running at "H" all else seems fine.
