i have a 1999 bayliner capri w/3.0 mercruiser engine . boat was on trailer at dock in water with no plug , she started sinking . we had started engine to allow warmup while boat was still on trailer . we noticed floor getting wet quickly in rear of boat , so we shut engine off and pulled boat out of water and drained . then we put plug in and continued our day of boating with no problems . after a couple of weeks of none use we went to use the boat again and when we started it there was this high pitched whiny noise . what could it be ? maybe belt , water pump , or alternator wet ? it doesnt sound as bad when you throttle . could someone please help ?
