My 2003 40 HP 4-stroke will not idle down after running with the throttle wide open. Does the throttle friction adjustment have anything to do with this problem?
Upon further reading in these forums, I've discovered that the throttle friction adjustment would not be the problem. I still have the high RPMs' after running wide open and then shifting to neutral. Engine cranks and runs fine until I open it up. Comments are welcome if anyone has had the same problem.
