An up date on my article back on Oct. I had to replace the ignition module in Oct. The first time out while the engine was still cold I had no problem getting WOT. After about 15 minutes, at WOT or after trolling for a period of time, and the engine has warmed up, I start getting a pop or miss at WOT. This does not happen in the tank or tied up at the dock, in gear and at WOT. Only while running on the lake. I get almost full RPM's and lose about 5 MPH. Since this only started after I replaced the module, I replaced the module again with another OMC updated part. I still have the problem. The engine has about 800 hrs on it, and I have not had the valves adjusted(was told not to worry untill 1000 hrs.) I can correct the problem by backing off the throttle just a little. Please help.
