This past weekend I took off the tarp I used to cover the boat for the winter. In its place I put up the camper top. My next weekend off I have to take the boat an hour up the highway.

I have always had a travel cover. This boat I don't. Is it safe to drive down the highway with the camper top on? Or will I damage the top driving at highway speeds? (60MPH).

Nope, not unless you are going to replace everything.

I asked that very question at the dealership and there answer was that the camper top is built to suit the boat, mine does around 34mph on the water and thats the maximum the camper top should be subjected to. Even when its folded as the frame is still subjected to wind.

My full enclosures goe on the end of October and comes off the end of May. Many, many miles of highway in the mean time. My old enclosure used a 1" diameter, stainless steel frame. The latest connects to a hardtop. Your mileage will vary if you have a 3/4" aluminum frame.
