Re: Hillary bashing

There is something about a strong intelligent woman that somehow threatens these people. It is a disgusting display from the right, but sadly not at all out of character.
There are 3 reasons why Hillary is attacked. She is intelligent, strong and a woman.
The attacks say more about the attackers than about Hillary.
Well rolmops and plywoody, your theories don't apply as I see them. One makes the assumption men who live with strong women need to let off steam and have only three reasons to dislike Hillary. And you both point a wide finger of sexism on us. And you've done this to divert from the real facts.
Many here detest this ONE woman.
You can both support and like who you want. But your attacks say more about you then who we are attacking also. And sadly its not at all out of character either.

Here's why I don't like her, aside from the Congressional probes into her many questionable dealings.
From the mouth of your special stateswoman:

"I'm not going to have some reporters pawing through our papers. We are the
president." -- Hillary Clinton commenting on the release of subpoenaed
documents

"Give Bill a second term, and Al Gore and I will be turned loose to do what
we really want to do."
-Hillary Clinton, speaking at a Democratic fundraiser

"I am particularly horrified by the use of propaganda and the manipulation
of the truth and the revision of history," Hillary Clinton (Associated
Press, concerning Kosovo)

Now since the both of you have such praise for strong intelligent females, here are some that I'm sure would top your list. These are women that many on this forum would be proud to replace your beloved Hillary, without fear, intimidation or resentment. And you can best bet Hillary wouldn't be able to match any of them in a contest of wits, morals or statesmanship.

"Conservatives have excellent credentials to speak about human rights. By
our efforts, and with precious little help from self-styled liberals, we
were largely responsible for securing liberty for a substantial share of the
world's population and defending it for most of the rest." -- Margaret
Thatcher

"I think we've been through a period where too many people have been given
to understand that if they have a problem, it's the government's job to cope
with it. 'I have a problem, I'll get a grant.' 'I'm homeless, the government
must house me.' They're casting their problem on society. And you know,
there is no such thing as society. There are individual men and women, and
there are families. And no government can do anything except through people,
and people must look to themselves first. It's our duty to look after
ourselves and then, also, to look after our neighbor. People have got the
entitlements too much in mind, without the obligations. There's no such
thing as entitlement, unless someone has first met an obligation." --
Margaret Thatcher

"We don't thrive on military acts. We do them because we have to, and thank
God we are efficient." --Golda Meir

"I have given instructions that I be informed every time one of our soldiers
is killed, even if it is in the middle of the night. When President Nasser
leaves instructions that he is to be awakened in the middle of the night if
an Egyptian soldier is killed, there will be peace."--Golda Meir

"Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't
recognize them." --Ann Landers

"Self-esteem must be earned! When you dare to dream, dare to follow that
dream, dare to suffer through the pain, sacrifice, self-doubts, and friction
from the world, you will genuinely impress yourself."
--Dr. Laura Schlessinger

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He
didn't trust me so much." --Mother Teresa of Calcutta

"If human beings are perceived as potentials rather than problems, as
possessing strengths instead of weaknesses, as unlimited rather that dull
and unresponsive, then they thrive and grow to their capabilities." --Barbara
Bush

"Democrats can't get elected unless things get worse-and things won't get
worse unless they get elected." --Jeane Kirkpatrick

I hope you join us in embracing these fine, intelligent and strong women and all they represent.

BWWAAAHHAAAHHAAA!!

Re: Hillary bashing

;) ;) ;)

Like I said Skinnywater, just blinded by their seemingly feel good ideology. Only problem is they are being played like a fiddle. The undeniable evidence is out there for all who are willing to see it. It's not a matter of conjecture and speculation.

Re: Hillary bashing

A few quotes out of context is the best you can do? Hardly a reason for all the venom.

Now I can see how someone could disagree with her politics, just as I disagree with Bush's politics, (and I could post an endless number of quotes from him that illustrate why)

And what is this "feelgood" policy she espouses?

From just the basic conservative values, we have seen the biggest expansion of the federal government under Bush than the Clinton's ever dreamed of--
We have seen uncontrolled spending and irrational fiscal policy, and the largest deficit ever, under Bush-- After campaigning on how best to give back all these huge budget surplusses he inherited

As far as secrecy, privacy, and not caving to political enemys, what is new with that? Bush has taken them to art forms.

I just wish someone would come up with something that makes some sense on why all of this venom.

I can understand disagreeing with her politics. Tom DeLay was on meet the press yesterday, and I made the mistake of watching it right after a big breakfast--and it was hard to keep it down--but that is not an explaination for all the venom specifically aimed at her. It makes no sense, and must be motivate by something.
