So I have a 1970 33hp Johnson and I hit a log the other day at full throttle, it kicked the motor up out of the water allowing it to rev up. I quickly shut it off and checked everything out, everything looked fine and intact still so I started it back up and it idled fine but would only run like it was at half throttle and it was showing it was wide open at the carb. I tore the entire lower unit and gear-case apart and looked at all the other adjustments when I got home and everything looked fine. Any advice before I take it back to the water on what could be wrong? the prop looked fine as well but if it got bent I wouldn't be able to tell without taking it to the shop. Any Advice would be great.
