A bar of Ivory soap will work in an emergency but that is all it is good for.

You'll have to Know the Dimensions of the existing tank,
And Where the Fill,+ Fittings are located,
In order to Find a Replacement Tank.......

As far as Where to Look.........
Try iboats......
or any good Chandlery.......

Finding out your Patch didn't Work,
Could leave you Dead................ :(

the hole is in the front about half way up . It is about 1/4' ( made a mistake and put a drill bit into it). I was going to try a plastic plug with some seal all glue . I have room to work that way. Someone said pull tank out and use a hot iron and melt the hole closed?

This is a gas tank we're talking about isn't it? You want a 'quick fix' to hold a liquid quite capable of killing you if it gets in the wrong places? Just buy a new tank and consider it as an investment in your life. Anyone else travel in the boat with you? Wife, kids?

Talk with a good autobody shop. These days they 'weld' plastics as a regular thing. It has to be the correct type of plastic (not my realm,by any means). And they may hesitate bcause it's gas.
But it is a shot.Otherwise, yes,a new tank.
DHP

Ok.....You still got a leak? e-mail me at Trentcr@hotmail.com Mil-8802 sealent will work. I use it all the time. Use it to seal "wet wings on aircraft" Wet wings are "wings with no fuel cells...The wing is the fuel tank itself".
