Maybe I will get to work om my boat this week-end.it has rained so much.Last month it rained 23 days out of the month and it is raining now.already destroyed my garden and I can't keep my grass mowed fast enough but anyways I have posted a couple of pictures of the hull of my boat which has a hole in it.I need to know what kind of filler should I use, cloth or mat and what .oz and how many layers.Should I grind down into the gel coat or just rough up the edges to apply the resin and filler. After I get this problem out of the way I will replace the stringers and the floor.I have posted the pictures on my old post at pictures of my nightmare. Thanks for any information.

OUCH! well you need to get underneath and plug(reshape) the hole with tape and paint paddles, anything to keep the glass from falling in. i would grind a taper into glass and gelcoat fill with mat, woven, mat, woven, etc. untill you've built it up enough to level the area back out. The inside is were you can (Need) to really stack it on making each path a little larger than the last(MORE IS BETTER), the hull was probably about a 1/2 thick there so build it up according the heavy Oz. material the better (24 to 32oz. woven ) Remember mat is for adhesion and filling, Woven is for strength :) Good Luck

I'm not too sure about that hole in your boat, but I would definitely reconsider letting the mother-in-law ride in the boat.... unless you get a bigger boat (YACHT !!!).
