Hi, I have 2007 V-P 5.7 Gi with a DPS-A outdrive. After struggling for three days to remove the (probably original) gimbal bearing, I read on the internet where someone drilled holes in the bearing to split it in half. I tried this, and the depth gauge on my drill bit slipped back on one of the holes allowing me to accidentally drill through the metal that's behind the gimbal bearing. My questions are, what did I drill through? will water make it into the boat if the bellow leaks? Any recommendations on how to fix the hole? Thanks in advance for any help!

Bondo, does that mean I don't need to worry about it (as long as the bellow doesn't leak)? Thanks!
