Hopefully this hasn't been covered too much.

I'm planning on building something simple in my shop to use as a motor stand but was hoping to get some opinions. My first thought was to modify a vehicle engine stand but it looks like it might be a bit low and maybe tippy. Secondly I thought I could make some kind mount that could slip fit into stake pockets on my steel bench, that way I could stash the mount when not in use. The current motor needing attention (and laying on the floor) is just a 55 OMC but I'm sure there will be bigger motors in my future. You know how that goes.

Any thoughts? Images? links?

Thanks, Pat
