I bet if the guys operating these subs were forced to walk the plank within minutes of being caught it might slow down this stuff.

I believe the crews are often forced to use these very dangerous vessels on smuggling trips w threats against their families for refuseing or failing. This extortion is very popular w all types of "mules" used to smuggle contraband in many different ways according to the documentaries I've seen, and w the brutality that has gone on for many years between the different organizations; and LEOs, government agents, politicians. I don't doubt it a bit. These poor mules are danged if they do and danged if they don't
