Honda BF75-100 (7.5 hp) carb question

I have a mid 1980's Honda 7.5 HP outboard that is starting hard and stalling out when I put in gear. Is there an easy way to clean this carb or some kind of fuel additive or carb spray that would clean this up? Im semi handy but not a real mechanic. Thanks
