Re: Honda Guru needed
Clanton, thanks for your response and just what I wanted to know.

Hondon, thanks too for your response, I understand what you are saying about needing
peak reading meter to measure the voltage
from the ignition charge coil but I have'nt got access to one, Clymer manual only gives
gives resistance value's and mine is below
the value shown in the manual but I do have
a spare charge coil and they are both showing
EXACTLY the same value's so I am concerned about the reliability of the test.
I had the same no spark condition last year
on this motor and spent a lot of time and money on it changing the ignition coil.cdi
and charge coil, took the wiring harness completely off to check for break's and corrosion and eventually got it running perfect at home,I put it in the back of the
car to take it where my boats sat on its mooring,(16 mile round trip) and due to unrelated circumstances
I was'nt able to put the engine back on the boat, brought the engine back home and it would'nt start even though it had never even
left the back of the car, it took another few
days of pissing around with it before I was able to start it again, when I did get it running and decided to change out all the parts what I had replaced and it ran just as well with the old components as it did with the new ones so I am reluctant to spend anymore money on parts.

I will definitely check for corrosion under
the cam pulley, the manual is very vague in
this area can you please take the time to help me further, what exactly is under the pulley, manual says "pulser magnets", nothing's
going to spring apart is it? and I assume that timing is 'nt an issue
