I am having trouble separating the lower unit from an early model 55hp suzuki. I am more familiar with Merc's but I am trying to help a friend out. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank's for the reply Rodbolt. The only thing I could find out is that it is a 1986 DT55 and has also been in salt water. I could not find out when the last time it has been removed.
do you have the shift link dissconected and all the bolts and nuts,including the one under the trim tab removed?
in saltwater if you wait till it breaks to fix it there is a good chance it will be very broke.
