Re: Horse power

Not enough information, Model make and model? 2 or 3 logs?

The weight of the pontoon will vary depending on which one you choose. performance will vary by this and diameter of the logs. Does it have lifting strakes? How many people will be aboard during your outings?

If I had to guess I would say 30-35mph (With 3 logs)

My 25' 3 log toon with 2 adults and one kid, half tank of gas (25gal) tops out at 28.7mph GPS with a 115hp outboard. No lifting strakes. add 2 more teens and it drops to 27.5mph.

I have seen others with similar setups top out at 25mph

To answer your question, I think you will be fine pulling a tube or skis

Re: Horse power

We have a '95 Crest 25' 2 tube with a Mercruiser 3.0L 130hp
It will run 24.9mph(gps) with 4 adults and 4 large dogs onboard. Instant take off for pulling watersports, but slow to turn around to pick up skier/tuber that has fallen off(compaired to my runabout).
