Re: horsepower question

I'd like to see 150 with an OB and over 200 with an I/O for what you propose. A 90 horse OB might get the job done, but people rarely complain about too much horsepower . . . we hear the opposite a LOT ;)

So, would a 3rd log help in place of the 150 hp motor? I was shocked at the price jumps for each step in HP!

Re: horsepower question

90 HP will work. 115 HP w/tritoon would be a good combo. 150 or bigger will do anything you want. If you thought the motor prices jumped up wait till you price a tritoon.

Re: horsepower question

There are some things that only a pontoon can do,skiing and tubing isn't one of them.I don't think it is too much of an exageration to say a pontoon will cost twice as much to ski behind.A pontoon driven within its design limits will
get as good or better mileage as a regular hull.running below about 9 mph.
other wise will use about twice the fuelto go the same speed..Have you given any thought to a deck boat?
