Hose question?

Are oil and gas lines the same thing. Or are they different types of rubber? I need to change the lines for a 1990 Johnson 120 with VRO, the old ones are starting to look worn.<br />thanks

Sunbird.... Whether there's an actual difference or not, other than size, I have no idea. However, for years I have purchased hose from automotive stores, different sizes of course but the same material, and have used them for all purposes. They have never failed me.
