Hi all, I have a 17' Checkmate with a 150hp Black Max on it. I was wondering if there was anyway possible to incorporate a Hot Foot throttle pedal in addition to my stock hand throttle/shifter. Basically, I want the pedal for when I'm racing/cruising around and the hand throttle for skiing or wakeboarding. Is there anyway to use the same throttle cable or do I somehow have to incorporate a new one. Or is this even possible?

Thanks,
SBHungwell

Hey huh,
Sorry I can't help you on your question, but I was curious what year your Black Max was, and if you've had any specific problems with it? I have an '85...

Chris

I have done it before, but you have to buy a special box that has a place for two cables to come in and then a place for one to come out. It's the same thing they use on some big boats with dual stations. I will look tommorrow and get a price.

Land & Sea Inc. makes a foot throttle like that. Check it out at www.land-and-sea.com or call them at 603-329-5645. I've never used one so I can't tell you anything about it. Just be careful.

Good luck!
