Hot horn sender

My warning buzzer has never worked even when I overheated last summer. It seems the blue tan wires from the oil pressure sender and thermostat housing go directly to the ECM. I'm trying to rig it now by bypassing the ECM. An auto temp switch is set to about 260, looking for one that will trigger lower.

Just a couple of thoughts. Have you tested the buzzer itself to see if it works? If you have ever replaced the thermostat make sure to use a gasket that has the bronze pieces in it, if your sending unit is in the thermostat housing you could be getting a bad ground.

I have a new buzzer, and a new stat and gasket. Got my oil switch working the horn. The ground signal is not coming out of the ECM. Looking for the old style switch that works an idiot light in a car, but triggers at a lower temp.

I got a screw-in one from NAPA, think it was 250?. I mounted it in a threaded hole in the side of my 5.7 block. It goes to a Piezo buzzer under my dash.
Here's one from Jegs;

I couldn't see one on iBoats.
