Got the last blast here in the Portland OR area. Yesterday was the first day to hit 90? in probably 11 months. Today might also tip 90. This hardly makes for decent boating weather. We had record snow packs and the rivers and lakes never warmed up.
We're on water rationing in the greater Houston area. Terrible drought and a record-setting number of days in excess of 100 deg F. Everyone is in a stupor walking around and dreaming of that first "cold front" of the fall.
