I can't resist this. If you had invested in iboats private stock your 1K a year ago would now be worth $2,000 thanks in part to all you guys. :)

Re: Hot Investment Tip

if you had invested in seaview in the spring .04 a share as of friday you'd have .18 a share of course if you bought it during the 2000 bubble it was $30.00

if you had invested in krispy kreme you would have doubled your money since they ipo'ed last year.

and if you would have invested in the other company that ipo'ed on the same day Global Power Equipment you would have about the same investment as the beer but get nothing for the lost money. They may be a good buy now because of the power outage and all the talk of upgrading the system. acs because of all the government contracting money being thrown around for the next year. Ebay till christmas. Pimco total return for something stable. I bought gold at $265 oz. instead of .coms in 2000

whoops started getting off in a serious rant there.

Love it Specks, I invest in used boats, usually buy for 300-1000. fix them myself average resale is $2500.-$4000. I figure I trust myself more than the stock markets. If I recycled all my beer cans Id be rich. :D

All kidding aside and for some serious investing, buy real estate, the appreciation rate in many areas is amazing, as of January 2003 Florida had a 47% average in the previous 4 years, Long Island typically sees 10-30% per year, the median home price in Suffolk County Long Island just hit $333,000 that's up from $292,500 a few months ago, it's absolutely insane.
