First disconnect the red wire from the ignition switch. Now: Under the cowl locate the starter solenoin roughly under and slightly in front of the starter motor. Using two screwdrivers or a jumper wire jump from the hot battery side to the yellow wire on the solenoid. The engine should crank if the solenoid and starter are good.

The switch is a standard 6 terminal, push to choke switch. Long or short depending upon dash mount or control box mount.

NOW: Depending upon ignition type, If you want to start it:

Distributor---on the terminal board jump the blue wire to red. this supplies power to the distributor and the CD box Just as the switch would do. The CD box itself has a red wire which supplies power to the capacitors at all times the battery is connected and/or the alternator is supplying power. The distributor signals the CD box to dump the capacitors into the coil. Crank the engine and it should start if it has fuel and spark.

Prestolite non distributor-- The ignition is self energising when cranked fast enough. Disconnect the blue wire and keep it from grounding. Now, the engine should fire when cranked assuming it has fuel and the CD boxes are supplying spark. To stop the engine jump white to ground.
