Something I found amusing.......

We stayed at the Banyan Tree Resort in Ras Al Khaimah last week, not cheap, but very very nice and Mrs marcoalza had a great birthday.
Have a look at the 'In-Room Safe' setup in the wardrobe.

Fantastic security!

It's so the maids don't have to look around for your valuables, they know just where to find 'em! Swap in an empty replacement safe and voila!

Maybe I watch too much TV.

veritas honus, I'm sitting in my hospital bed this morning after a very sore night and that really did make me laugh!
Thanks.:D

Glad to give you a laugh... What the heck are you doing in the hospital??? Did you drop that calculator on your toe while posing for the pictures; or do you need to start another thread? Not sure what ettiquitte would dictate here... I hope I'm not making light of something really heavy... All kidding aside, Marco, are you going to be OK?

Re: Hotel Security Flaw!

As someone thats worked in hotels for over 11 years now,

Those in room safes give guests false sense of security. Did you know those safes either have a master key or a master code to get into them?
If you have valuables, don't put them in the "in room safe". Take them to the desk and have them put into their safety deposit box. At our hotel we have 6 deposit boxes.. Requires 2 keys,
The guest key that is given out to them and a general key. We also require a valuables sheet and a photo ID.

We had a gal years ago that lost her key. We' don't have spares. That was an expensive lessen for her. Huge ordeal getting a spare key from the lock company.

Nothing serious my man. Arthroscopic Subcromial Decompression under GA:confused:
Had a bad shoulder for over a year and the surgery was overdue. Back home now and popping into work tomorrow night.

Think I might need to see a shrink seeing as I access iboats form my hospital bed!

I will say from experience it's unlikely you'll find one that can help with an addiction as strong as iboats. If you do, please post his contact info in Dockside Chat. On second thought, I guess that would make about as much sense as the gambling addiction hotlines they post at the end of the casino commercials.

Take care, marcoalza. Get well.

Your post was funny, but that reminds me that I need to bolt down our safe. I've been putting it off. It is filled with all my most valuable possessions......air...and a bottle of Sam Adams!

What Marco didn't post though, was that he sat in front of that box for 3 hours trying to tune in any TV station before he realized it was a safe!

OK. Thats enough Fireman, for your information Sir, it took me less than 5 minutes to work it out! especially when my wife helped me move it to try & get better reception - then I realized.
Concentrate on veritas who seems to think you can get big black calculators that show HBO. silly man.

I guess it was just your kind nature that prevented you from mentioning the tin foil hat he had on at the time. Yes VH, I love the Noble Pils in the spring. They have some really nice seasonal brews, especially at Christmas. Ever had the Old Fezziwig? Good stuff.
