Seems ther are sunken logs in the Homosassa River:$
My fault, I was not in the middle of the channel.
Only two blades took the hit, well...then there's the skeg thing:%
It's a 17p ss prop on a Johnson 115. I've never repaired one before. Prepare me for sticker shock!
Thanks
Dave

I'd guess the prop repair in the 100$ range...the skeg can be either fixed by a competent welder or a skegard can be put on...about 80 bucks.

Thanks Admiral Walleyhed. I guess I can handle that.
If it was you, would you go the welding route or the skeggard?

Welding is better. Check the propshaft, it may be bent. Give the prop a spin and watch the center of the shaft. If it wobbles, you'll need to address that too.

Thanks guys. As far as a bent shaft, now you're scaring me:% I'll check that as soon as I get home! Funny thing is, when it happened I still had a ways to go so I ran it as is and I couldn't tell anything was amiss. No vibration....nothing. If anything, maybe the rpms increased a little. must have been from all the increased slip. I have a spare aluminum prop onboard, but do you think I could remember a prop wrench......naaaaaah:$
