How can I put an electronic starter on my Chrysler

Hello all. This is my first message on this board. I own a 35 horse 1962-63? outboard. Runs great believe it or not! Need info on installing an electric starter on it. If any of you have info on how do go about doing this that would be great. I do have a brown cord that is hanging just underneath where the pull string chamber is. It is some type of electrical cord? Maybe this is all I need to hook it up to? PLEASE HELP

Welcome to iboats, Dominic :D <br />Does your flywheel have teeth on the outer edge? If so, you only need a starter and soleniod relay for your motor. If not, you need a flywheel too.

:cool: <br /><br />Thanks 12 Footer.. It does have the teeth. Am I looking at a huge expense for the Solenoid Relay and Starter..
