is it a single cable system?, i think a double cable would be o-k. However, i would not trust a 200 hp motor being controlled by a single cable, there is a lot of slop in single cable and if that cable breaks..bad things happen. You already dropped the dough on a brand new motor, if it were me, i would pay a little more and get hydraulic steering as well; just to do the motor and yourself justice. Handling would be greatly improved as would safety. Alot of changes and advancements have been made in the past 17 years.
