How critical is the gear lube hose clamp on bell housing side?

So I just reinstalled the ujoint bellows, both ends, and realized I forgot to put any kind of a clamp on the gear lube hose at the bell housing. How critical is that clamp? There was some plastic finger squeeze clamp on there before, not sure it was really doing anything, it's super tight there so the only way to get a clamp on would be to detach bellows from the housing again.

That hose is super tight on there, I doubt it will come off but would it leak.

Its a good idea from the standpoint of heat and over time. It won't leak right away, but over time there is a better chance of the issue. Use a Ty rap
