How do i align my engine properly

I just went through this with mine - it definately takes time and patience. I discovered that the back mounts, while not really adjustable, can be moved around slightly. I needed to do that with mine. I ended up loosening the back mounts and, with the weight of the engine on the hoist, I was able to insert the alignment tool all the way. I then tightened the rear mounts and made the appropriate up and down adjustments on the front mounts till the alignment tool slid in and out easily.
