How do I check "spark" under power.

What type of tester do I use to check if I am loosing spark when running. Is there any thing that will remotely connect so I can se a missfire. Will Adjustable Ignition Spark Tester do the same by increasing the gap.

An inline spark tester should do the trick. You can get one at most automotive parts stores for under $10.

I have spark when idling but the motor misses at higher RPM.
There fore need some way to test when under load.

No, you need a inductiom meter, timing light or a tachometer is better

Cheap (Harbor Freight) timing light. If it fires the light, it's good. Easy to see skipping or missing. Can't see off time spark caused by cracked magnets and such. Useless for timing unless it's midnight and cloudy.

thanks to all.
A simple check with a spark gap tester showed that top cylinder had no spark at all. After switching cable and spark plug with lowe cylinder no change. Mast be the coil. Will try swapping the coil tomorrow and cleaning grounding terminals that are corroded.
What confused me is that on the river when unplugging wires one by one, every cylinder contibuted, hence though that it only did that under load.
