wondering how they measure shaft lenghts on out boards?? from where to where.from top to center of prop or what?? thanks<br /><br /> Bob White

from th top of your boats stern or transom to the botton of the shaft , that should equal the height of your transom aswell

Bob, measure from the inside bottom of mtg bracket to the top of the cavitation plate. Std lengths are 15, 20, 25 and 30".<br /><br />On the boat it's the top of the transom (where the motor mounts) to the bvottom of the hull at the hull centerline (assumes monohull type boat).
