Some cold weather hit SC over the last two nights and I wasn?t able to get down to my boat (Carolina Classic 25 with a raw water cooled 454) to drain the block or put in antifreeze. The good news is I was able to get a neighbor to put in a drop light with a 100W bulb for the two nights when the temperature dropped down to 25F for several hours. Most of the time it was around 28F to 30F. The engine compartment on the CC25 is fairly well insulated; however, I?m concerned that it may not have been enough.
I won?t be able to check out the boat until the MLK holiday. What should I look for before I start it to see if any damage occurred? If that checks out, what would I look for after it?s running (other than water leaking or spraying)?
Thanks!
