How do you convert a Suzuki 6hp 2 stroke back to tiller control?

I picked up a 1986 Suzuki DT6 for a very good price...it's mechanically sound and runs great. One problem, it is currently set up for remote control and I want to set it back to tiller control.

After looking at parts diagrams and the motor itself...I came to realize that only one of the two throttles cables from the tiller was present and it was rotted away. Seeing this, I purchased both required cables and some other misc replacement parts for the tiller and the rest of the motor. Now the problem is figuring out how to hook everything up...and of course what to disconnect. I see "ears" on the bottom of the engine compartment that may have something to do with the throttle cables but that's about all i can put together. I'm having a hard time trying to figuring out how to do it using the parts schematics. Help would be greatly appreciated. Here is a link to a parts website with diagrams if it helps...you know what to do...replace the (DOT) with a period and copy/paste in your url bar. http://www.boats (DOT) net/parts/search/Suzuki/Outboard/1986/DT6/parts.html

Thanks!

Have you checked out Brownspoint? As far back as I can remember when I converted my 30hp back to tiller and had the same issue, but I just made my own plate that held the cables out of a piece of aluminium .... and then the little link arms you have to re-connect and disconnect ...

Seems like browns point is a good resource but its not quite what I was looking for. I guess i could make the cables fit but I was hoping to do it with factory parts. I'll resort to that if I have to but I'd like to see if anyone can chime in on this.
