how do you do a link and sync?

i have a 73 johnson 135 that just had the carbs cleaned out. compression on all cylinders are 125. how do i do the link and sync? what about the idle fuel adjustment?

on mine, you set it to idle, make sure the ignition linkage is fully retarded , make sure the butterfly's are fully close, if needed loosen the linkage, hold butterfly closed and retighten.

The link and sync procedures vary across models and years, and must be done in the proper sequence. Get the model & year specific OEM manual and follow the procedures step-by-step. There's really no other answer than that.
