engine is runnin 2 lean or 2 rich when my boat is runnin it back fires then white smoke blows out the it shuts down its a 35 hp 76 johnson 2 cycle

If it spits back through the carb it's running lean (Its called a "lean sneeze" sometimes) That is because the carb either needs a strip down and the jets cleaning or needs the mixture adjusting.

Four stroking especially when lightly loaded is a sign of running rich.
