First cut and plug the oil line at the engine so that the oil side of the VRO pump will not draw air into its system. Trace the wires from the back of the VRO to its electrical plug and disconnect it. Then trace the two wires from the oil tank to the engine, disconnect those two wires, then remove them and the oil tank. You are already pre mixing at 50 to 1, so the pre mixed fuel will already be bled into the system.

Re: how hard is

Since the alarm is going off you must already have the pump. Just get a tank and plug it in to the pump & wiring. Follow the instructions for purging the system and away you go. Tanks are easy to come by. Most marinas have used ones laying around. Salavage yards should have lots.

The hardest part is mounting the tank and that's usually a snap. Forget about the remote fill - a bad idea.
