How hot is too hot for a boat with a black boat cover in the Sun.

Am I damaging my boat when it gets about 140f or over with the black cover on in the Fl. Sun?

Is that the temp under the cover? Have you noticed anything melting?

I see nothing melting but I can smell gas under the cover, I suppose it's gas in the carb vaporizing, I see no leaks.

Is there any ventilation?

The cover has 4 vent pockets in it
